I remember a conversation overheard some time ago while eating at Jollibee.  It went like this:

Child: “Mama, how do people make money?”

Mom: “People make money by working, son.”

Child: “But how does one make a LOT of money?”

Mom: “If you work hard and get promoted, you’ll get a higher-paying job so you’ll make more money.”

Child: “Do you really need a job to make a lot of money?”

Mom: “Of course, that’s why you have to study hard.”

A great way to start the New Year would be to get yourself in self-improvement mode.  I want to stress the importance of financial education at this time, because I believe that money affects not only our financial life but the other important aspects of our life as well… family, health, work, emotions, etc.

I bought my first Kiyosaki book (Rich Dad Poor Dad) in 2001 and have been an avid reader of his books ever since.  I first played the Cashflow game years ago, and the education I got from that first game stuck with me, and I continue to learn more until today.

I attended John Calub’s free preview of “Attracting Wealth: How to Become a Multi-Millionaire by Harnessing the Law of Attraction” a few Saturdays ago.

I had an idea on what he’ll be talking about, as I have read The Secret, The Science of Getting Rich, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, Rich Dad series and other Kiyosaki books, Conversations with God, Bo Sanchez books, and still reading Master Key System among countless books.
