4 Common Traits of Goal Achievers

0

TIME is one of those things that cannot be produced.

Twenty-four hours… and that’s it for the day.

Just one more day today and another year has passed.  Whew, time flies really fast!

It’s goodbye to 2011 and HELLO to 2012!

It’s that time of year again for goal reviewing and goal setting

As the year ends, I’m thinking about the difference between the people who hit their goals and those who don’t.

I notice that the difference is really not having more skills or talent.  It’s also not due to More >

Marcelito Pomoy wins Pilipinas Got Talent Finals. Was It Just Luck?

0

Who is Marcelito Pomoy?

I sit in front of the computer a lot and rarely watch TV, but yesterday was a Sunday so I was taking a breather. I happened to watch the awarding of the grand finals of Pilipinas Got Talent (live from Araneta Coliseum).

Marcelito Pomoy from Cavite emerged as the grand winner.  His talent?  Singing… with a male and a female voice!  (See Marcelito’s performance at the end of this post.)

He was awarded with a P2 Million check (and a lot more).  Someone commented, “Ang More >

Creating Abundance – Financially and Spiritually

7

What does it mean to create abundance anyway?  Is it making a lot of money?  Is it spending quality time with family?  Is it having a lavish lifestyle?  Is it having a great relationship with God?

THAT is a lot to discuss in one blog post, but allow me to give it a shot…

The Typical…

I learned the concept below in one of the many workshops that I have attended, and it goes something like this:

  • When you’re young, as in less than 20 years young, you’re active and HEALTHY.  You got lots of TIME More >

The Story Of The Carrot, Egg, And Oolong Tea

0

I recently ate buffet at Tong Yang, and after a sumptuous meal, the waiter there served free oolong tea.  Ahhh…  I remember the story of the carrot, the egg, and the oolong tea, which taught me a great lesson.

A woman was going through a very rough time in her life, and having no one else to turn to, she visited her mom one day.

In the kitchen, the woman went on and on with her problems while her mom just listened and quietly poured water into three pots.  The water soon boiled and her mother More >

Financial Literacy: 5 Simple Steps to Jumpstart Your Education

1

A great way to start the New Year would be to get yourself in self-improvement mode.  I want to stress the importance of financial education at this time, because I believe that money affects not only our financial life but the other important aspects of our life as well… family, health, work, emotions, etc.

It actually doesn’t matter if you’re making a five- or six-figure-income; what matters is how much is left with you at the end of the day and for how long you are able to keep it.

If you More >

What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?

0

New Year’s Eve is the time when most look back and remember all that happened in the year that has passed.

I recall some trials that came about during the year, but I’d say it was mostly a good year.  It was this year that I reawakened my sleeping desire to be my own boss and continue on my journey to financial freedom.

As the New Year kicks off, we hear and read a lot about the importance of setting goals.  Most would agree that setting goals is like planning a vacation.  We must first More >

Myth 8 of 8: Failing is Bad

2

Read previous Myth 7 of 8: Money Is the Root of All Evil

Most are afraid of failing, and we started developing this mindset when we were in school. We were told, “If you don’t get good grades, you won’t get a good job,” or “If you fail, you’re stupid,” or whatever.

It’s the same when you’re working in the corporate world, “If you make a mistake, we’ll fire you” or “If you don’t meet the criteria, you won’t get the salary increase.”

Control Your Destiny

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier

I went to a training of a business leader, whose family owns a multi-billion dollar company in the U.S. I was keen to listen to his talk especially that the theme was “Control Your Destiny.”

He actually talked about what I’ve been trying to express here, being your own boss, and I also learned something new…the 3 types of “You” and they are:
